Fun Finds for a Friday:

I love discovering new poems:

I will be the gladdest thing
   Under the sun!
I will touch a hundred flowers
   And not pick one.

I will look at cliffs and clouds
   With quiet eyes,
Watch the wind bow down the grass,
   And the grass rise.

And when lights begin to show
   Up from the town,
I will mark which must be mine,
   And then start down!

Edna St. Vincent Millay

And discovering fun photos and quotes:

My favorite is above. Smiles.

Boston Celebrates...first win in 39 years....Bruins Win!

Don't know if you could watch the game last night but people around here are in a state of euphoria! First time the Bruins have won in 39 years!
My dad was on the farm team to the Canadians, way back when, and poor guy,had to contend with 3 daughters,no sons to take over, although we did see a lot of games at the Forum in Montreal!
The New England folks will relate and as you say, it is a happy story. They are all on Cloud 9 here! The Boston channels had the victorious return by bus to the Garden this am of all the bleary-eyed players who had flown in from Vancouver overnight. They asked Tim Thomas, Boston goalie and MVP, what the trip was like and he said it was the first time he could sit back and relax, and say,"We won!" as every other time they were keyed up for the next game. There is a parade on Saturday from the Garden to Copley Square so big stuff brewin' in Boston! It is fun!

A "trend report" just received by email - from Janice at TrendCurve:

Which patterns and colors will pass the "cool" test for kids 2 years from now? Here's just a sampling of the answers from our latest
Keeping Up With Kids (tm) forecast:

COLOR
- Greens, blues and pinks are at the top of the list.
- Kids' decor color can lag behind that of adults by up to two years, so we recommend just the right mix of 2011 and 2012 hues.
- Black is a growing neutral.

DESIGN DETAILS
- Ruffles. flounces and a plethora of pockets will return.
- By contrast, there will be more classic patterns and minimalist detailing.
- Look for a penchant for layering.

PRINTS
- Plaids of all sizes will continue to be strong.
- Mix small-scale florals with checks.
- Mini-argyles will play a supporting role.

Hydrangea's...

My friend, Rossi, brought me Hydrangea's yesterday - they were so pretty and really not a flaw in any of the buds.  So, I just had to share a photo of them.  I think flowers are such a wonderful way to brighten any room in the house or to brighten one's spirits.

~Ralph Waldo Emerson said it best:

Earth laughs in flowers.
