From Sea to Shining Sea: Nautical Themes

When you think of nautical patterns, you probably think of boats, New England, the beach and Ralph Lauren. All of these sources are great inspiration for a frequently recurring trend, the Nautical look. From anchors to wheels to crabs to life preservers to boat stripes, this is a fun and breezy pattern that works for every season. Try pairing a wide-stripe shirt, dress or skirt with an anchor necklace, or a knotted headband with a chambray shirt. For the home, nautical patterns work great on throw pillows, or as a beachy stripe in bedding. This theme adds a light, breezy, playful feel to just about anything.
