Today, I'm going to be telling you about a few of my favorite body lotions and why I love them. Enjoy!
Lubriderm Daily Nourishing Radiance Lotion With Shea and Cocoa Butters: This lotion is really great for every day. I love to put this on right after shaving or before I go to bed, because it absorbs quickly so you don't feel sticky or slimy after using it. It provides really lightweight moisture that lasts through the following day. However, you may want to switch to a heavier lotion during the dry winter months.
Victoria's Secret Hydrating Body Lotion: This lotion is fantastic. I got it recently and I can't get enough! It rubs in easily and smells FANTASTIC. It leaves a tiny bit of greasy residue, but it's only noticeable when you touch it; it does not make your skin feel greasy. This is a medium-weight lotion that locks in moisture and makes your skin feel smooth. However, there are other lotions that truly make your skin feel silky, so if that's what you want, try one of the next two lotions.
Victoria's Secret Ultra-Moisturizing Hand and Body Cream: When they say cream, they MEAN cream. This super-thick lotion is a little bit hard to apply, as it requires a LOT of rubbing to make all the white go away. Despite that, this lotion intensely moisturizes your skin, making it feel luxuriously soft. I recommend applying this right before you go to bed, as it does leave a bit of a heavy feeling on your skin. Another great way to apply this is just to the areas that need extra moisture, like your hands, elbows, knees and feet. This is a great lotion for the winter, when you really want your skin to stay moisturized, but not so great for summer, as it can be a bit thick.
Bodycology Hand & Body Lotion: This lotion costs about $5, and at first glance is relatively unimpressive. You can find it shoved in on the Target shelves with oodles and oodles of other lotions. BUY THIS LOTION. It is absolutely fantastic. I've recommended it to several of my friends and they have all fallen in love with it. This lotion contains classic moisturizers such as Aloe Vera and Shea Butter, as well as Vitamins E & C. This medium-thick lotion feels like velvet when you rub it across your skin, and creates the same effect on your skin! It soaks in relatively fast and leaves your skin feeling soft and touchable all day long. It's not too thick and not too thin, so this is a great year-round lotion. Applying extra to your dry spots provides just as much moisture as a thicker formula, but still leaves a lighter feeling. Plus, the coconut scent of this one is so wonderful and authentic, it takes me straight back to my vacations in Hawaii. I cannot get enough of this lotion!
mark.'s Do the Right Thing Smoothing Body Lotion SPF 15: This lotion is great for everyday wear. It absorbs super fast, which can leave a bit of an odd feeling, so put it on before bed so you don't notice it while you're sleeping. It's very liquid, so a little goes a long way. This lotion is great because it's made with Fair Trade Certified ingredients. It contains cocoa butter, honey and hibiscus, all great moisturizers that keep your skin soft an smooth throughout the day. Plus, with SPF 15, this lotion provides the much-needed sun protection that your skin needs. This lightweight lotion really packs a punch, and it's great capacity to moisturize makes this a great year-round lotion.
