True Blues

Denim is a classic fabric that has been around for ages. Denim has become one of the world's favorite fabrics, and jeans are a staple in pretty much everyone's wardrobe these days. From colored to destroyed to cropped to skinny, jeans come in all shapes, sizes, washes and embellishments. However, your favorite jeans are not the only way to wear and use this fabulous and durable fabric. Denim makes a great fabric for purses, jackets, skirts, vests and even shoes! Sally Hansen even offers their press-on nail polish strips in a denim print! Aside from all that, denim also makes a great home accent. One of my favorite home uses for denim is a quilt made of scraps of denim fabric. Some companies will take donations of jeans, wash them thoroughly and make sure the fabric is super-soft, then cut the jeans into fabric pieces that can be made into quilts. The result is a super soft and incredibly warm quilt that can go virtually everywhere and is as easy to wash as any other pair of jeans you own. It adds a rustic, comfortable touch to rooms and is perfect for cold winter days outdoors if you need a blanket to sit on or cuddle up with. Denim throw pillows are also a great way to repurpose denim into a unique and cozy home accent. Denim is a hugely versatile fabric, and thank the lord that everyone loves it! I don't know what I would do without my go-to jeans-and-a-t shirt look!

Denim pillows are a great accent for any room, and it's an easy way to re-purpose denim. Cut the legs off of jeans or sew the hem of a skirt together like above, or cut strips out of old jeans and sew them together to create a one-of-a-kind accent for your home.
